What is Parang Blue?

Parang Blue is a Korean skincare brand with two products: the 2PY Serum and the Hydrasnow Cream. The word “Parang” means “blue” in Korean, a color that embodies calmness and serenity. The line was built by founder Hongmyoung Kim for his daughter, whose skin reacted to almost everything she tried, including the ingredients usually described as gentle. Both products are made in Korea and sold in the United States by Nutramins Inc of Norwalk, California.

Who are these products for?

For people whose skin reacts to things. If you have a drawer of half-used bottles you abandoned in week two, if you read ingredient lists before you read claims, and if "gentle" on a label has stopped meaning anything to you, this is the shelf these two products were built for. They are not aimed at a skin concern so much as at a pattern of reacting.

What does the 0.00 irritation score mean?

Both products were put through a primary skin irritation patch test using the Finn Chamber method, with 24 hours of occlusion, read by a dermatologist. Both scored 0.00 and were rated "No irritation (Excellent)." The certificate numbers are HM-IR0084-76 for the 2PY Serum and HM-IR0084-75 for the Hydrasnow Cream.

That is a result on a test panel under controlled conditions. It is not a prediction about your skin, and no test result should be read as one. Patch test on a small area before you use either product on your whole face, and if anything stings, stop.

Are the products fragrance-free?

Yes, in the sense that matters: no fragrance has been added to either formula. The faint citrus you may notice in the 2PY Serum comes from the yuzu extract that is in the formula for its own sake, not from anything layered on top. Nothing has been added to mask a base scent.

What is in them?

The 2PY Serum is built around PHA, papain and yuzu, with centella asiatica, madecassoside, asiaticoside, five peptides, panthenol and aloe alongside them. The Hydrasnow Cream is built around panthenol and tremella, the mushroom sold in the US as snow mushroom, with rice bran water, allantoin and aloe. Full lists are on the Ingredients page.

What is left out?

No added fragrance, no parabens, no silicones, no mineral oils, no dyes, no PEG, in either product. The ingredient lists were kept short on purpose. A short list does not make a formula better by itself, but it does make it possible to work out what disagreed with you when something does.

Are they vegan? Are they tested on animals?

Both products are vegan and neither is tested on animals.

Which one should I start with?

If you are choosing one, start with the cream. A moisturizer is the step almost everyone needs daily, and the Hydrasnow Cream is the easier of the two to slot into a routine you already have. Start with the serum instead if what you want is exfoliation and the exfoliants you have tried have been too much for your skin.

Can I use them together? In what order?

Yes, and that is how they were designed. Serum first on clean skin, morning and night, two or three drops pressed in. Cream second, while the serum is still slightly damp. The whole routine is two steps and takes under a minute.

Is the two-step set cheaper than buying them separately?

Yes. The two-step set is $35.90, about ten percent less than buying the serum and the cream separately. The same set pricing applies on our Amazon and TikTok Shop stores.

How often can I use the 2PY Serum?

Morning and night is how it was formulated to be used. If your skin is going through a reactive stretch, start every other night for the first week and build from there. There is nothing in the formula that depends on daily use to work.

Can I keep using them long term?

They were designed for it. Both formulas are built for daily use over the long term: no added fragrance, short ingredient lists, and a 0.00 score in a primary skin irritation patch test. As with any skincare, if your skin changes, adjust how often you use them.

What is The Calm Skin Project?

The Calm Skin Project is Parang Blue's seeding program. Sixty-five people in the US with sensitive or reactive skin receive full-size Parang Blue skincare free and post one honest video in return. There is no script, no approval round, and a negative review is a legitimate outcome. Videos carry a #gifted disclosure, which the FTC requires. Applications and full terms are on the project page.

Where are the products made?

Both are made in Korea, and they are manufactured to order rather than produced in bulk and stored. That is part of why the store occasionally shows a product as sold out.
